The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) took part in the 9th Annual Meeting of Insurance Intermediaries, organized on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, in Casablanca by the National Federation of Insurance Agents and Brokers of Morocco (FNACAM).
Under the theme “Compulsory insurance and insurance intermediaries in the face of artificial intelligence,” this edition brought together the key industry players to discuss issues related to market modernization, the gradual integration of artificial intelligence, and the changing role of intermediation in a rapidly changing environment.
During the opening session, Mr. Abderrahim Chaffai, President of ACAPS, emphasized the essential role of intermediaries in the insurance sector's value chain.
Mr. Chaffai reiterated that market consolidation cannot be limited to compulsory insurance, which was introduced primarily to protect citizens. In his view, it must be part of a comprehensive vision based on diversification, innovation, and quality of service to citizens.
Mr. Chaffai also indicated that artificial intelligence represents a major opportunity to enhance efficiency, transparency, and service quality in the sector, as long as it is integrated in a responsible and ethical manner, serving customer relations and market credibility.
