The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) is hosting a delegation of inspectors from the Inter-African Conference on Social Welfare (CIPRES) from January 19 to 30, 2026, as part of an immersion training course organized within the Authority.
The aim of this mission is to enable CIPRES inspectors to familiarize themselves with ACAPS' working methods, in particular the mechanisms and processes implemented for the control and supervision of social welfare organizations.
The program includes several working sessions and technical presentations, led by ACAPS teams, on supervisory missions, control approaches, methodological tools used, and the challenges of governance and financial sustainability of social protection schemes.
This mission is part of the cooperation agreement signed in April 2023 between ACAPS and CIPRES, which aims to strengthen the exchange of experience and expertise and facilitate the sharing of knowledge, tools, and best practices in the supervision of social security.
It should be noted that CIPRES is a regional organization responsible for monitoring and providing technical support to social security institutions (SSIs) in the 18 African member states. It oversees the management of these institutions in order to prevent financial instability and contribute to the sustainability of social protection systems in member countries.
