The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) is participating in the 12th edition of the "Rendez-vous de Casablanca de l'assurance," held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, on April 15 and 16, 2026, themed: “New Services and Coverage: Insurance Conquering New Territories.”
In his speech at the opening of this event organized by the Moroccan Insurance Federation (FMA), Mr. Abderrahim Chaffai, President of ACAPS, highlighted the profound transformations the insurance sector is undergoing at the international and national levels, marked in particular by the emergence of new risks, changing practices, and the diversification of coverage needs.
In this context, Mr. Chaffai emphasized that insurance must move beyond its traditional role to adopt a broader approach, incorporating more services, prevention, and support, in response to the growing expectations of policyholders and changes in the economic and technological environment.
He also outlined ACAPS’s strategic priorities aimed at supporting these developments through strengthening the regulatory framework, expanding access to insurance, broadening coverage, and adapting business models to new market realities. In this regard, he emphasized the need for coordinated action by all stakeholders in the sector to foster innovation, strengthen resilience, and support market development.
