ACAPS re-elected to the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS)

The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) was re-elected on November 12th, 2025, in Tirana, Albania, as representative of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region on the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).

Represented by Ms. Siham Ramli, ACAPS will continue to represent the strategic orientations and challenges of the MENA region alongside the Financial Services Authority of the Sultanate of Oman, also elected to the Executive Committee.

The IAIS is the insurance sector's global standard-setting organization. It develops principles, standards, and best practices for the supervision of the sector, while supporting their implementation by member supervisory authorities.

Through its active participation in the IAIS's work, ACAPS demonstrates its commitment to regulation in line with international best practices. The Authority holds the vice-chairmanship of the Executive Committee and also sits on the Audit and Risk Committee, the Implementation and Evaluation Committee, and several technical working groups.

Through this re-election, ACAPS confirms its role as a recognized institutional partner on the international scale, contributing to strengthening the stability, transparency, and resilience of insurance markets at both the national and regional levels.
