The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) welcomed a delegation from Kenya’s Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) in Rabat from 5 to 9 October 2026. The working visit was held as part of ACAPS’ South-South cooperation strategy and its commitment to sharing expertise and experience with its African counterparts.

The programme focused primarily on risk-based supervision in the area of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT). Through a series of working sessions, ACAPS shared its experience and expertise in this field with the Kenyan delegation, with a view to supporting the IRA in strengthening its supervisory framework.

Discussions also covered supervisory methods and tools, financial inclusion, and microinsurance.

This initiative contributed to strengthening exchanges between ACAPS and its African counterparts and to fostering cooperation in the regulation and supervision of the insurance sector.
