The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) hosts the 6th Annual Conference of the African Pension Supervisors Association (APSA) on 10–11 July 2025 in Marrakech, Morocco.

Under the theme “Building Resilience in Africa’s Pension Landscape”, the conference brings together senior officials from pension regulatory and supervisory bodies across the African continent, along with representatives of international organizations, institutional stakeholders, researchers, and sector experts.

Organized in partnership with APSA and Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSD Africa), the event aims to promote the exchange of best practices in areas such as governance, expanding pension coverage, managing emerging risks, and integrating Environmental, Social, and
Governance (ESG) criteria into investment policies.

The two-day program features a series of thematic sessions focused on the evolution of supervisory frameworks towards risk-based approaches, the proactive management of emerging risks such as climate change, cybersecurity, and demographic shifts, the development
of an African ESG taxonomy, and the exploration of innovative micro-pension models to extend coverage to informal sector workers.

This high-level gathering offers a unique platform for African regulators to strengthen interregional cooperation, share insights on ongoing reforms, and promote more effective, inclusive, and sustainable supervision of pension systems across the continent.
