The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) is celebrating its tenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, on April 23, 2026, ACAPS organized a conference under the theme “10 Years Dedicated to Stability and Protection: Mobilizing Ecosystems for Tomorrow,” bringing together representatives from the two supervised sectors, as well as its institutional and financial partners, to take stock and discuss future prospects.

This meeting highlighted the key developments that have marked this period, as well as the resulting priorities.
In this regard, it should be noted that over the course of this first decade, the Authority has progressively strengthened its supervisory methods and adapted its tools to a changing environment, aligning its actions with a more integrated approach to risk management.

This evolution resulted in the consolidation of the prudential framework, the development of risk-based supervision, and the strengthening of vulnerability analysis mechanisms, thereby contributing to the resilience of the insurance sector.

At the same time, ACAPS has focused its efforts on protecting policyholders and beneficiaries by strengthening the market conduct framework, improving business practices, and developing mechanisms that promote transparency, fairness, and service quality.

The Authority has also supported market transformations by promoting innovation and expanding access to insurance, while ensuring a balance between sector development and protection requirements.

In the area of social protection, its efforts have helped structure the supervisory framework and support major reforms undertaken at the national level, particularly regarding the universalization of social protection and discussions on pension reform.
These advances are based on continuous investment in the Authority’s human capital, as well as close cooperation with institutional partners at the national and international levels.

Building on the experience gained, ACAPS will continue its efforts to strengthen the resilience of the sectors it supervises, improve market practices, and manage risks, in an environment marked by rapid change and the emergence of new challenges, while contributing to the mobilization of savings to finance the economy and secure the future of policyholders, members, and beneficiaries.

In addition, to mark its 10th anniversary, ACAPS unveiled its new visual identity, designed to enhance the consistency, readability, and clarity of its institutional communications.
