The Authority is publishing a second guide to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT)

The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), as part of its actions to assist the insurance sector in implementing an effective system to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), is publishing a second guide which aims to present and explain in detail the objectives and methods of implementing a global risk-based approach in the life-insurance sector.

This second guide, which is a continuation of the first guide relating to the duty of vigilance towards the customers, presents the risk-based approach to be adopted by the insured parties and deals in particular with the basic principles of such an approach, the related indicators, the implementation process of this system as well as the appropriate governance.

The non-life insurance sector will be the subject of a specific guide.
